DAM says thanks to two founding members.

BikeWise 2011 was the venue for two founding members of DAM to receive a token of thanks from the club in recognition of their hard work in helping to form DAM and making it such a successful club that we know today.

Bob Brown and Mick Alder of BikeWise Training were kind enough to make the presentation on behalf of the DAM Committee.

Bob presents Mike with his gift.

  1. Mike Cope was with me from day 1 when we looked into forming the group. He has been a stalwart in all the roles he has performed. John was one of the first of the new DAM group to be tested in 95/96 and also has given up a lot of time and effort into making DAM what is today, again in the various roles he has performed within the group.
I cannot Thank and praise both Mike and John enough for the contribution they have made - not only to DAM but to Road Safety in general in County Durham. Both Mike & John should look proudly at where DAM is today and the input they have put into it.
I have many happy memories of our time working together and I wish them both 'all the best' for the future.
